On Sunday night, the Orpheum theatre in Los Angeles hosted a concert featuring Fitz and The Tantrums. I was fortunate enough to attend and witness the amazing performance. The string quartet that accompanied her was truly spectacular! Together, they created an unforgettable experience. The balance of lighting, sound, and music selection set an atmospheric aura that was perfect. Her short mashup of God with Kate Bush's Running up the Hill was especially enjoyable. The real magic happened later on, with a wonderful selection of songs from throughout her career, including some surprises. Some new material and great B sides were also showcased. Playing with the quartet and the unique musical arrangements elevated the performance to a whole new level. This was, without a doubt, the best Tori concert I have ever experienced and quite possibly the best concert overall. It was truly unforgettable.
